The SolarSheat System

The SolarSheat is a self contained solar thermal air space heating system. It uses air from the home and recirculates it back through the collector and returns the warm air back into the house. During sunny or mildly cloudy conditions warm air is returned back into the home by a solar electric powered fan system. These systems are generally designed for wall mount applications where there are minimal duct runs.  SolarSheat Wall Mount Manual

The SolarSheat can also be powered by an AC-110V (alternating current) fan to provide air flow to longer duct length runs through an attic or wall cavity. These systems are generally roof mounted. Full class roof stands and flashing are available to orient the SolarSheat to the appropriate angle. The SolarSheat is normally mounted at a 60 degree slope.  This is necessary for optimal performance and to shed snow.

The SolarSheat system components

Each SolarSheat PV or AC system ships with the collector, a duct kit which has the gaskets, snap lock duct, collars, thermostat, fan, wall mount and fasteners. Roof mount hardware is optional. See SolarSheat Roof Manual.
